Spot on with the details. Internally within Snowflake the solution architects discuss this stuff on Slack, but it’s seldom (if ever) described outside.
It’s not (IMO) about secrecy. The Snowflake policy is to simplify and obfuscate the internals so Data Engineers can focus on the job at hand.
I personally think we gain a much better understanding by knowing(at least conceptually) how it works under the hood.
