Pinot is awesome! I would suggest that you do like a progression because there are newer real time data warehouses that are open source and have interesting proposals, like RisingWave / Materialize / StarRocks, and other ones that have had enterprise adoption and are more mature like Pinot / ClickHouse / Druid. So i would suggest that you delve into the mature projects first because the newer ones usually built on some weak points of the more mature projects.

Thank you for your suggestion; I don't think Pinot / ClickHouse / Druid are mature like other databases. I personally found Pinot interesting, so I decided to write about it first. I also put RisingWave/Materialize on my list and plan to research StartRocks. Do you have experience with these OLAP databases, or are you interested in studying them? I'm looking for someone who can review or be a kind of co-author. What do you think?

I just meant mature in the sense of the time they have been out longer and pinot and druid have seen adoption from big names like linkedin and netflix compared to the newer ones ( im talking about real time OLAP in general ). I don't have much experience with them, i'm still studying them and as of the current moment i don't think i could be a good reviewer or co-author as i am kinda new to the real time olap field, but i will be here to read and provide general feedback for whatever you write :)

Thank you, Ibrahim. Would you like to connect to another social platform like LinkedIn (I am kind of active on LinkedIn) so we can discuss together when studying the OLAP system? It gonna be fun.
