There are already some good open source tooling to enforce data contracts and data products (which also comes with its own standard, namely ODPS), for instance the ones authored and maintained by the team at Entropy Data (https://www.entropy-data.com/):

* And, more generally, all the repositories of https://github.com/datacontract and the dedicated site: https://datacontract.com/

I would also highly encourage any one to read the excellent books of Andrew Jones and Jean-Georges Perrin (the Chairman of Bitol and one of the main actors around making open standard for data contracts and data products), that's good value for the money

Nice article - pretty informative! A lot to learn here - bookmarked as a ready reference!

I just realised - we use postgresql staging tables with custom constraints - as a boundary for data exchange... The staging table schema is a data contract I guess...
